D.Ed Special Education in Intellectual Developmental Disability (IDD), Multiple Disability (MD), Hearing Impaired (HI) are diploma courses in special education. This Special Education Course aim is to develop professionals in special education within a broad framework of education in the present context. This course will enable pre-service teachers to acquire knowledge, develop competencies and practice skills to impart education to children with disabilities. B.Ed In Special Education(ID) |
B.Ed Special Education in Intellectual Disability (ID) is a two year (4 Semester) Full-Time programme aimed at developing teachers for children with disabilities for various settings. To equip trainees with various techniques of teaching children with mental retardation associated with additional disabilities in special and inclusive set up. Bachelor of Education [B. Ed] course is an undergraduate professional degree that prepares students to work as teachers in schools.

Additional Details Uma Educational and Technical Society, Kakinada is running "Teacher Education Programs (courses)" since 2007 with the resignation of Rehabilitation Council of India and affiliation to local universities to develop trained human resources in the field of rehabilitation. In India, we have a large number of special schools, integrated schools, inclusive education and special education programming in community based settings but still there is scarcity of professionals. In order to bridge the gap between existing teacher training facilities in Special Education and the demand for such Programs, UETS have been conducting these courses. These courses aim at training students to work with children with special needs, in different settings. A person qualified in Special Education can serve as Special Educator, Recourse Teacher and CBR worker. In addition they can assume the role as Social workers, leaders, capacity builders, developer and catalysts in the area of special education. |
